Summer Ameen is a Bahraini photographer and filmmaker who specializes in the best things in life: people and food.
She grew up in Bahrain, and has since lived in Canada, the UK, and Dubai before settling back on the island she calls home.
Her approach to photography and video production is influenced by her background in anthropology and sociology, as well as her education in filmmaking. She has taught photography and video production at university level, curated exhibitions, and taught a variety of workshops.
Throughout her 10-year career, she has been honored with various international awards from the USA, Spain, and Canada for her photography and filmmaking work.
Most recently, Summer has founded a Photography & Video Production House named Verano Creatives.
She is passionate about storytelling, travel, music, and everything to do with the sea.
